A Zanzibari Ramadan

Eid al Fitr is only a few futaris away! (That's evening breakfasts for those who aren't fasting). As we're cooking up the evening feast, it's taking me back to my first 'Sikuku' or 'celebration' at Mnazi Mmoja: thousands and thousands of women and children dressed up like beauty queens, walking around eating 'chipsi'.
