Kitesurfing in Zanzibar
One of the fastest growing sports in the world, kitesurfing is winning over hordes of devoted fans and enthusiasts. A suitable sport for beginners and the less athletic, kitesurfing can also be an artform when taken to an advanced level. Zanzibar is one of the best places in the world to enjoy kitesurfing, and centres are springing up across the island.

Dim Versluis started as an industrial designer and loves creating things - when he is not on Zanzibar, he gives lectures in industrial design in the Netherlands. On Zanzibar he runs a kitesurfing business in Paje, which was the first on the island. He says that kitesurfing "gives you the freedom to cruise around over the water, frees your mind and keeps you fit".
